Paul M. Goodnough was introduced to Massage practices and Herbal remedies by his Grandmother when he was about 7 years old. They have both been avocations dear to him all of his life and, wherever he traveled in the world, he found people which Providence brought him to learn from. He has been doing massage off and on since he was 15, long before the state began licensing. While undergoing Premed courses and working in a for-profit physical rehabilitation hospital for 4 years as a Physical Therapy Aide, Paul noticed how patients were being treated much like cattle and how the billing procedures and treatments were simply to maximize the use of the insurance funds of each patient. He felt that the conventional rehabilitation scene was not serving the patient’s true needs. He had been traveling with the Navy and Navy Reserve for several years and endeavored to pass the state board exams in order to continue to do massage. Paul successfully completed training at St Phillip’s College in San Antonio and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Texas since September 1992. He continues to work with D.O.s, M.D.s, and D.C.s and their clients. He has been working in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area since April 2002 and in Richardson specifically since 2003. In 2007 he moved to McDade, Texas to join with Lynn Rose Demartini and The Indigo Center Paul is trained in Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu, as well as Sports Massage and has had both education and practical experience in massage for various stress related ailments, such as carpal tunnel and repetitive stress syndrome. He is much attuned to working with the client and their specific needs, and in the session, he encourages a two-way communication with his clients to ensure that he is dealing with all needs and aspects for the client’s benefit.
